Cuisinart MCP-12N Review

Stainless steel cookware is popular among most kitchens for cooking daily meals. There are many choices to choose from apart from stainless steel but in this case, I review the Cuisinart MCP-12N cookware set.

When it comes to heat conductivity, stainless steel material is not the best compared to copper and Aluminum.

The quality of cookware plays a big part in cooking the perfect recipe in the kitchen. This is why choosing only the best is a great move.

Poor cookware will lead to food sticking, unevenly cooked food and using more energy.

For stainless steel cookware to be great, the manufacturers combine the material with good heat conductor material like Aluminum core improving the heat distribution.

In this article, I will point out the outstanding features that make the Cuisinart MCP-12N cookware set the chef’s favorite.

Cuisinart Brand Overview

The Cuisinart company is well known for manufacturing quality appliances, tools, utensils, and kitchen cookware.

This brand was recognized for making food processors back in the year 1971. In today’s market, when shopping for coffee makers, blenders/juicers, mixers, microwaves, and other kitchen appliances, the Cuisinart brand is very visible.

Cuisinart now rivals established cookware brands like All-Clad for making quality cookware sets. Their product prices are very reasonable on top of the quality.

The cookware sets which stand out the most are made of stainless steel and Aluminum which is the Multiclad Pro line. Other materials include hard anodized Aluminum and copper.

Every time you but a Cuisinart product, you are assured of quality, value for money and great performance.

Cuisinart MCP-12N Cookware Set Review

This Multiclad 12 piece cookware set offers a versatile way of cooking different meals at a reasonable price. You get to prepare food without the need for a combination of other types of cookware.

Cookware Construction (Build To Last)

The cookware comes from the Multiclad Pro line of pots and pans. This is a combination of stainless steel and Aluminum material to make a triply material.

A process called cladding is used to integrate two or more layers of different materials to bond them for greater performance.

The reason stainless steel is bonded with Aluminum is to increase the heat distribution since stainless steel is not a good conductor of heat.

The aluminum layer is sand-witched between the stainless steel layers ensuring heat is evenly distributed. Cuisinart uses heat surround technology, which heats the walls of cookware resulting in faster and even cooking.

A 304 (18/10) food-grade stainless steel is used for this cookware which makes it very durable.

Cuisinart MCP-12N design is simple and classic with the stainless steel finish looking elegant and stylish. Every part of the cookware is made of stainless steel creating a uniform look.

The exterior features brushed stainless steel and the interior is made up of a polished stainless steel cooking surface.

This finely polished surface may act close to the nonstick surface for some foods.

All in all, from the rims, handles, lids are well designed for easy handling of the pots and pans.

The handles

If the handles are not quality and comfortable, the cookware can be challenging. For Cuisinart cookware set, the handles are tightly riveted and with a comfortable handling cool grip.

Skillets, saute pans and saucepans of the cookware set come with long stick handles. The end of the handles have holes for hanging the cookware.

The Lids

Also made of stainless steel, the lids are strong and impossible to break, unlike glass lids. They come with a nice loop handle at the top.

The lids are oven safe and provide a tight cover to provide flavorful results. There are 7 pots and pans but the lids are 5, this is not a big issue as the lids are interchangeable.

Heat Distribution

This Multiclad cookware conducts heat faster and evenly due to the added Aluminum layer. It forms a tri-ply layer with Aluminum core that is a superior heat conductor.

Compared to other brands of tri-ply cookware like the ALL-Clad D5, Cuisinart matches the quality of the All-Clad cookware.

Heat surround technology used by Cuisinart helps to evenly distribute heat from the bottom and sides of the pots and pans.

The pots and pans are heavier than the nonstick cookware which makes them conduct heat better. The cladding process used by manufacturing the cookware increases the weight of the pots and pans.

This is not a bad thing because heavy cookware is durable.

It comes with smooth and tapered rims which are narrow towards the end. They are well-shaped to prevent spillage during the pouring of food.

The whole part of the cookware is made of stainless steel material that makes it oven safe up to 500 degrees. Also, the pots and pans are safe for cooking in a broiler.

Cuisinart cookware set can be used with common cooking sources like gas stovetop, electric stove, induction, and glass stovetop.

For the utensils, you can use any type of utensil including metal, wooden, plastic, etc.

With these compatibilities, it is a versatile cookware set every kitchen should have.

Ease Of Use

Using the cookware is easy and straight forward since the design perfects every aspect. The handles are ergonomically designed with a cool grip handle and long length for balance.

The heat distribution is great therefore you can cook with low or high temperature as you please.

With a stainless steel material construction, the cookware can be cleaned easily. The polished surface is resistant to discoloration thus easy maintenance and cleaning.

All the pieces are dishwasher safe creating convenience. If you decide to hand wash the pots and pans, the stubborn stains can be easily wiped off.
